Veteran photojournalist Russ Carmack is a former U.S. Navy photographer and cinematographer who found his passion in visual communications in his early teens. Carmack has traveled nationally on assignment and internationally to Somalia, Rwanda, and Bosnia covering our local servicemen and women in various military operations.
He has been the recipient of many regional and national awards for his photography.
Carmack grew up in Tacoma and attended Tacoma Community College studying journalism and the visual arts before starting his photojournalism career at his hometown paper.
