Drew Perine has ben covering the ebb and flow of local communities on both coasts as a photojournalist for more than two decades.
A native of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Perine is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Previously he worked at the Journal Inquirer in Manchester, Connecticut, the Ithaca (NY) Journal and The Herald in Everett, Washington.
He joined the staff of the News Tribune in 1999 and was named National Press Photographers Association Regional Photographer of the Year in 2002.
Perine lives in Gig Harbor with his wife Amy and son Zach.
